Using Freeze dried foods in your daily meals is a great way to make quick, delicious and nutritious meals without waste. Use just what you need and put the lid back on the can and save it for next time.
One family favorite meal is Spaghetti. Using Thrive Life freeze dried foods to make a quick and yummy dinner for the whole family in a short amount of time is worth it.
Spaghetti the Thrive Life way. (Recipe is for a family of four but, adjust the recipe to fit your family size) (Thrive Life- TL - Links to food embedded)
*TL Ground Beef - 1 cup soaked in warm water for about 10 minutes. Drain
*TL Tomato Sauce, TL Tomato Dices, TL Chopped Onions, TL Garlic seasoning,
-Make Tomato sauce according to directions on the can. Three cups of water and add tomato sauce until you get the sauce thickness you want (I like mine a little thicker, so I add a little less water.)
- Add a couple teaspoons of chopped onions, sprinkle in some garlic seasoning.
- Add extra Italian season to desired taste. Add 1/2 C tomato dices just 5 minutes before serving. Don't stir too much. The tomatoes are a little delicate and will break down if stirred too much.
- Add the soaked/drained ground beef. I like to add a small handful of Thrive Life Sausage crumbles to spice it up a little bit.
You can add other items like TL Spinach not soaked, TL Zucchini not soaked, TL Mushrooms. Always soak the mushrooms first. You could even sprinkle some TL Parmesan Cheese. Stir it in and let it soak in the sauce for a few minutes.
Make your favorite kind of noodles per the directions on the box. Within about 20 minutes you have a wonderful family favorite with some added deliciousness to make it yummy for the whole family.
You can even add some TL garlic seasoning to French bread and butter.
For an added side dish, put some TL Sweet Corn and TL Green Beans in a pan of water on the stove. Add butter and your favorite seasoning and simmer on low for about 5 minutes. Just enough for the vegetables to soak up some water and warm up.
Rule of thumb for freeze dried foods: If the item you are going to use is naturally crunchy don't soak it first. Just add it. Items like the zucchini.
